Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB)

New Jersey passed one of the strictest laws in the nation "The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights" in November of 2010 that schools began to implement in September of 2011.  In addition to changing how schools respond to incidents of bullying in schools, the major goal of the bill is to improve the overall school climate and ensure that each child attends school without the fear of being harassed.

The Director of Pupil Personnel Services serves as the district Anti-Bullying Coordinator. The school nurse at each of the elementary schools serves as the Anti-Bullying Specialist and the Student Assistance Counselor serves as the Anti-Bullying Specialist at the Junior-Senior High School.
