Elementary COVID-19 Parent Letter

COVID-19 Instructional Guidance for Parents

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

The Elementary Curriculum office here at Woodbury City Schools values education as well as health and safety. Please see below for guidelines on how your child can access his/her schoolwork.

Pre-K teachers have prepared a number of suggested instructional materials that are developmentally appropriate. These lesson suggestions and instructional resources will be shared daily through your current method of classroom communication.

Kindergarten students will receive a number of instructional activities and resources. Teachers will continue to check in with students daily through your current method of parent communication.

First Grade- Fifth Grade
All first through fifth grade students will receive classroom instruction and assignments via Google Classroom. Surveys were distributed to determine digital access at home. If you do not have access to Google Classroom and have communicated via the survey or phone call, your child will receive a different method of instruction via hard copy. If you have internet access at home and do need a device, the district is currently creating a plan to distribute devices as available, to parents. Please continue to check the website for updated information regarding this as we have to follow state and local guidelines.

Google classroom to ask questions to teachers about the content via Google Classroom on individual assignments; questions may be posted directly to the teacher or to the class as a whole. Students are expected to turn in all work through Google Classroom each day.

If you have questions about instructional materials and or assignments, please reach out to your classroom teacher. If you have any additional questions please contact your child’s counselor or School Principal:

Ms. DiBartolo- West End and Walnut - (856) 812-4080  [email protected]
Ms. Sadeara White- Evergreen - 856-812-4645  [email protected]

This plan is up to date but is fluid as information from local, state, and federal government agencies is everchanging. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Educationally Yours,
Marti Hill
