Woodbury, New Jersey – August 27, 2013. Woodbury City Public Schools is pleased to announce that a new, updated Website has launched, just in time for the new 2013-2014 school year.
The new Website, still located at www.woodburysch.com, is designed to be more user-friendly for parents, students, teachers, staff, and the community. It offers a more contemporary look, with improved navigation and functionality throughout. The site also was updated to be more easily read and accessible on mobile devices, such as phones, tablets, and eReaders.
The new site features an easy-to-use menu bar with popular web links, such as PowerSchool, under the Quick Links section located on the right-hand side of the home page, and a rotating slideshow of pictures featuring Woodbury City Public School District students, staff, and events.
Four boxes in the middle of the page, representing our Junior-Senior high school and three elementary schools – Evergreen Avenue, Walnut Street, and West End Memorial -- will easily transport users to information specific to that particular school.
A News section and calendar, towards the bottom of the home page, will keep all Website visitors apprised of the many district and school events.
In the coming weeks, the site will add two additional features – a search box and a language tool, from Google translation services, which will allow users to view the site in a language other than English.
“We are very pleased with the look and functionality of our new Website,” said Joseph Jones III, superintendent of Woodbury City Public Schools. “By updating our Website, our goal is to provide even more valuable information to all our stakeholders, in an easy-to-use format.”
In addition to an updated Website, Woodbury City Public Schools recently launched a Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/WoodburyCityPublicSchools, and a Twitter account, https://twitter.com/WoodburyCitySch, to make communicating with parents and students quicker and easier.
