Woodbury, New Jersey – June 27, 2013. Woodbury Junior-Senior High School administrators in October 2012 submitted a grant to the U Got Brains Champion Schools Program, a teen safe driving campaign sponsored by the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey. The program encouraged students and staff of New Jersey high schools to create programs that addressed safe driving issues for teens. Woodbury Junior-Senior High School’s project was to develop a Website called www.myfirstcaraccident.com.
Although Woodbury Junior-Senior High School did not win the grand prize, the high school was recently granted a driving simulator by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company. The company bestowed this generous donation to all the high schools that participated in this program in honor of their 100th Anniversary.
Woodbury Junior-Senior High School will be using this driving tool in the new school year with its teen drivers to provide them with valuable driving practice skills that will help ensure they become safer drivers on the roads.
