The Technology Department consists of
three divisions. They are the Technical/Networking Division,
the Instructional – PK to 5 Division and Instructional – Junior/Senior
High School Division.
Technology Coordinator Ian Gordon along with Senior Technician James Hannan and Technician James Futia take care of our extensive network and the approximately 700 district computers including 19 computer labs. Mr. Gordon, Mr. Hannan, and Mr. Futia strive to keep Woodbury Public Schools on the leading edge of computer/network technology in order to provide for the students every opportunity to develop and increase skills that will be needed in further educational and occupational pursuits.
Devon DiBenedetto and Joann Darmo are the technology teachers for the Elementary Schools in Woodbury. Both Ms. DiBenedetto and Ms. Darmo not only operate the Computer Labs in each of the Elementary Schools but they also bring the C.O.W.s (Computers On Wheels) around to the classrooms and work with the classroom teachers in integrating the computer programs with what is being taught in the classroom.
At the Junior/Senior High School the Instructional Technology Division consists of Ms. Holly Carr (Business and Personal Law, Entrepreneurship Education, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Personal Financeand Publishing Technology), Miss Cindy Cheyney (CAD, Microsoft XP, Computer Skills, and Basic Technology/Careers) and Dan Jones (Video Technology). There is also Mr. Ari Ford (Robotics and Math).The objective of the technology teachers at the Junior/Senior High School is to provide the student with the skills that will be needed in further educational and occupational pursuits.
