Woodbury City Public Schools’ Board of Education is pleased to announce the hiring of Lynn DiPietropolo as the district’s new superintendent. Ms. DiPietropolo started in July 2017.
After an extensive search process, which began in fall 2016, and included input sessions, a survey of staff and community members, as well as hours of research and deliberation, the Board chose Ms. DiPietropolo for her broad and established instructional leadership roles, strength in collaboration, and focus on increasing student learning and achievement.
Ms. DiPietropolo comes to Woodbury with nearly 20 years of experience in public school education in elementary, middle, and high school settings. She served as a kindergarten teacher in both the Clayton Public Schools and Clementon Elementary School before taking on administrative roles as assistant principal in Clementon, director of basic skills and assessment in Winslow Township, and superintendent, principal, and director of curriculum and instruction in Clementon. She received both her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and sociology and her master’s degree in school administration and supervision from Rowan University. She has two children.
“It is an honor to have been selected by the Board of Education as the superintendent of the Woodbury City Public Schools,” Ms. DiPietropolo stated. “I am looking forward to joining a school district that not only focuses on providing positive opportunities for all students, but for being a true Leader in Personalizing Education.”
