Message From Our Principal
Dear Families and Students,
Woodbury
Junior - Senior High School is home to students in grades six
(6) through twelve (12). We are a shiny “jewel” in
the midst of Gloucester County.
Our
teachers are exceptional; enthusiastic, highly committed and
dedicated. And our students are the best – anywhere!
Our classrooms and halls are charged with positive and diligent
energy on a daily basis. This environment is a result of a collective
effort by staff, parents, area businesses, and individual community
members who enhance and enrich the work we do in our school.
The “personal” approach is the heart of the work
we do at Woodbury. We are committed to provide an educational
environment where every child’s need is met – both
academically and socially – with opportunities to develop
academic concepts and skills, discovering interests and unique
talents while experiencing a sense of belonging and connection.
The
faculty and staff at Woodbury Junior - Senior High School believe
strongly in the philosophy that all children can learn.
We affirm that this learning does not take place at the same
rate for all students; and we believe it is our professional
responsibility to create an environment that provides an equal
educational opportunity for all our students. I am confident
in the commitment and expertise of our staff. I know that nothing
can keep us from fulfilling our commitment.
The continued support of our parents and the community is an
essential part of our students’ success. Our parent organization
(PTSA) assists in several ways through volunteer efforts, fund-raising,
and hard work to enhance our school efforts.
I welcome you to explore our website and invite you to visit
our school. I am extremely proud to work along side of great
educators and talented students and I am excited every day
about the work that we do together to maintain the great things
that
happen at Woodbury Junior - Senior High School.
Sincerely,
Denise
Dunham,
Principal
Woodbury Junior/Senior High School
Teachers
of the Year - 2008
 |
Yael Emenecker
Junior High School
Yael Emenecker is the sort of teacher that every parent would want their child to have. She focuses intently on the needs of each student, how they learn and what particular path leads them to learn even more. What a wonderful asset to our school! It should come as no surprise that Yael was selected Teacher of the Year. We are all so very proud of her and the exemplary services she delivers to Woodbury students every day.

Colleen Fitzgerald
Senior High School
Colleen Fitzgerald is one of those special teachers with amazing energy. Her positive attitude towards life and teaching science is totally contagious! Enter her classroom – at any given moment – and you will sense compelling evidence for Colleen being named 2008-09 Teacher of the Year for Woodbury Senior High School. Congratulations Colleen! |

Robyn
Sole
Junior High School
The
middle-level student is unique and phenomenal. So is
Robyn Sole, our 2007 Teacher of the Year for the Woodbury
Junior High School. Robyn makes the most of every moment
of instruction and challenges her students to use their
full capacity of their ever-developing intellect. The “Sole” classroom
is inviting, encouraging, and inspiring, an environment
in which students flourish and succeed – continually!
Every middle school student deserves a Robyn Sole; our
students and this community are the beneficiaries of
her skillfulness, enthusiasm for, and commitment to the
success of our students. Congratulations again, Robyn!

David
Snelling
Senior High School
It
is no surprise that Dave Snelling was selected as the
2007 Teacher of the Year for the Woodbury High School.
Every highly effective school consists of teachers with
the magnetism to lead students to achieve far beyond
their acknowledged limitations. Mr. Snelling works the
Three R’s in every minute of the day with the students
assigned to his charge as well as students who know him
simply by name and reputation. Students are drawn to
his ability to implement rigor, relevance, and relationships
that inspire and motivate. We are truly fortunate to
have him here at Woodbury High School. I am especially
appreciative of everything that he does for students
and this entire Woodbury learning community. Congratulations
again, Dave! |
