Family Nights 2007-2008

WHAT ARE FAMILY NIGHTS?

Family Nights are events offered throughout the school year that provide an opportunity to learn strategies to help your child succeed in school. This brochure shares descriptions of this year’s scheduled Family Nights along with locations and dates for each event. Registration information will be sent home with your child three weeks prior to each event with more specific information, including start times and room locations. Be sure to sign up ahead of time so that your hosting teachers can be adequately prepared for the actual number of participants.

A Message from the Superintendent

The Woodbury Public School District has a long tradition of offering Family Nights to the community. Maybe, over the years, you have come to a Family Math night at West End School and learned about math manipulatives. Possibly you have attended a Family Literacy Night at Evergreen Avenue School and worked at learning stations that all had a pirate theme before reading a picture book about pirates with your child.

As we did last year, Woodbury is continuing to open up its Family Night program to interested families, no matter which of the three elementary schools your child attends.

My hope is that you and your family will take advantage of these events.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Joseph Jones III
