A Bright Smile. A lot of Fun. A Big Heart. These are all words used by students, parents, and colleagues to describe Evergreen’s 2013 Teacher of the Year – Dana Frazier.
One cannot walk into Ms. Frazier’s classroom without being whisked away to a magical place where every aspect of reading and mathematics seems more lively, more engaging than they have in the past. Seven-year-old students are routinely challenged to think critically and deeply about complex topics and vociferously praised when they do so. Quick to laugh and quick to cry, Ms. Frazier is acutely attuned to the social-emotional needs of every student in her charge. She works tirelessly planning creative differentiated lessons that meet each child’s individual needs. Simply put, she is a rock star.
For these reasons and many more, the Evergreen family is proud to have Ms. Frazier as our 2013 Teacher of the Year!
