Dear Students and Parents
Welcome to the new school year at the Woodbury City Alternative High School. In keeping with our district’s commitment to being leaders in personalizing education, our program offers students a variety of pathways to achieve success outside of the traditional school setting. I hope that you can take some time to explore the links and sample the diversity of options and programs available at the Woodbury Alternative School. In addition, the links that follow may serve as a useful guide to identify the day to day operation of our school.
My personal goal is to insure that each and every student at the alternative school, in addition to receiving academic credit, experiences a sense of accomplishment, self worth, and pride in knowing that they are valued members of the Woodbury community. Our program this year seeks to establish this bond through our community internship and life skills components.
Our small but dedicated staff distinguishes themselves each and every day as they go out of their way to provide the structure support and understanding required to meet the needs of our students.
I look forward to working with you this year. As always I regard communication with parents a vital link to the success of the alternative program. Together, with your support, we will make this an outstanding year at the Woodbury Alternative High School.
