Woodbury Public Schools
Encourages You To Join Safe Homes!
What is Safe Homes? Safe Homes of Woodbury is a network of parents who pledge that they (1) will be at home to supervise when their teens have parties and (2) will not allow the illegal use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco or firearms at teenage parties in their home or on their property.
Why Safe Homes? Many parents feel “they are the only ones” who want a safe, drug-and alcohol-free environment for their children and feel uncomfortable talking to other parents and to youth about their concerns. Research shows that parents who set clear rules, monitor their teens’ activities, and provide a safe environment for socialization greatly lower the risk that their children will be involved in using alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Who should sign up? All Woodbury parents and guardians with children in grades 6-12 should be a part of this effort.
How to sign up? Click on SIGN UP HERE, print the PDF document, and sign the pledge. Without internet access, you may request a copy from the Main Office, and sign the pledge.
Your completed pledge should then be returned to school and forwarded to Donna Lacovara, Woodbury Public Schools, 25 N. Broad Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096 and your name will be added to the list.

If/When I host a party or gathering for Woodbury Jr.- Sr. High School students, I will, to the best of my knowledge:
- Provide responsible adult supervision.
- Not serve nor will I allow youth under the legal drinking age to consume alcohol in my home or on my property.
- Not allow the use of illegal drugs, including tobacco products for youth under age 18, in my home or on my property.
- Not allow youth the use of firearms in my home or on my property. If I am an owner of firearms, I will ensure that firearms are locked up out of access to visiting youth in my home.
