A Message from the Superintendent:

Welcome to the Woodbury Public Schools website.

One important target for the 2007-08 school year will be our school community’s effort to redevelop a strategic plan. As this process unfolds this year, we will be sure to keep everyone informed through regular updates on our website.

Our current three-year plan revolves around the theme:
Woodbury Public Schools . . . now, it’s personal.

The goals associated with this plan are the following:

  • Maximize our strength as a small, PK-12 district
  • Improve the results on the state testing – NCLB
  • Improve the financial situation for the Woodbury taxpayer

All the new initiatives that we undertake to improve our schools will address one or more of the above goals. We are proud to work together to accomplish such positive, meaningful goals.

I invite you to stay informed through the Woodbury Public School website: check out our press releases, review our board agendas and minutes, peruse our “accountability” page that lists the initiatives we are working on during this school year, find the papers that are sent home with your child posted here, and read the Superintendent's Blog. These are just some of the ways to stay informed as a member of our school community.

As always, your ideas for improvements to this site are most welcome. Kindly share your suggestions with our webmaster, James Krauss, at jkrauss@woodburysch.com. In addition, I personally welcome any of your suggestions regarding the Woodbury Public Schools.

We are all looking forward to a successful 2007-08 school year working as partners with the school community.

Sincerely,

Joseph Jones, III
Superintendent
